Privacy Policy

• The resident’s name and phone number, and the family contact’s name and email, provided at enrollment.
• The audio and transcript of each call.
• The written chapters composed from those calls.

We do not collect health information, medication information, or payment card details (payment is handled by our payment processor, which has its own privacy policy).

To place the weekly call, to write down what was said as a memoir chapter, and to publish that chapter to the resident’s private page. We also use call transcripts to help the AI interviewer remember previous conversations, so it does not ask the same question twice.

The resident’s page is shared only with the family members the resident or their family names at enrollment. We do not sell, rent, or share resident information with advertisers or data brokers, and we never will.

A note on “private.” The resident’s page lives at a private, unlisted web address, one we never publish or allow search engines to index. This is not the same as a password-protected page: anyone who obtains the exact link could view it. We tell you this plainly rather than promising “only your family can ever see it,” because that promise would not be true.

We keep call recordings, transcripts, and chapters for as long as the resident’s page is active, plus a reasonable backup period after cancellation, unless the resident or family requests earlier deletion.

You can ask us to remove any single story, or the entire page, at any time, with one request. You can ask us to delete a resident’s data entirely after they stop using Porchlight, subject to any backups already in progress at the time of the request being cleared on their normal cycle.

If a resident says something on a call that makes us concerned for their safety, our policy is to contact the family contact named on their enrollment form. This is a documented internal practice we disclose here and in the enrollment form; it is not an automated or monitored safety service.
